About Me

Hi I am Alana,

I have a 9-year-old child and I have been a childminder for 6 years and I am based in Victoria Park in Hackney. I have always worked with children and I am a former PE Teacher. I love how being a childminder works with being a sole parent and my son loves to have other children around.

My Experience

I like to get my children outdoors and in nature and visiting exciting places around Hackney and beyond. We visit many local places like stay and play sessions, children’s centres, farms, museums, forest school and role play café's and once a week I like to travel further afield to somewhere like London Zoo. I think it is important for them to interact with other children, spark their imagination with sensory experiences and also have a routine.

I love being a childminder and nurturing kids, I build strong bonds and usually have them for long lengths of time. I can have children from babies to pre-school age and I have a maximum of three children a day as I like to give them the time that they need.

I do not do school pickups or drop offs and my focus is on the children I have with me.

Allanah, I will say thank you for being so kind and flexible having you really help me . Great communicator, my daughter was never bored , she likes you and me too.Always planning something to do we her. We will miss you Allanah.
