Audra has been a childminder to our two children (aged 4 and 6) for the past five months – looking after them after preschool and school every day, and all day during holidays. She is fantastic – a caring and highly creative childminder. Every day, my kids come home with something they have drawn or created at her home – either to celebrate key events on the calendar (Mother's Day, Chinese New Year, Christmas, etc) or just for fun. They do lots of out-of-home play, too – at soft-play areas or great parks nearby. They get lots of fresh air.

They learn lots – Audra is great at ensuring they do their homework or any general reading required for school, but also teaches them lots of other things aligned with their interests. They both get on well with Audra's son (who's great!) – they often do their homework together and he sometimes helps my son read. She will also ensure they understand the difference between good and bad behaviour and when/why good behaviour is rewarded (and bad behaviour isn't).

They eat well – Audra prepares a balanced diet, with a mix of healthy home-cooked meals and soups, with vegetables and fruit, and occasionally the kind of meal most kids love to eat.

Communication is great too – Audra texts us throughout the day to let us know how they are, where they are going, what they've eaten, with photos to show them either doing their homework, having meals or out in the park. It's reassuring to see these pics and know they are having a good time.

All in all, Audra has a welcoming, safe, fun, creative and educational environment – and she always ensures that they have a special time with her. It's reassuring to know that we have our children in childcare somewhere that they look forward to going each day.
