My Summary

My Experience

I have eight years experience working with children and have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work closely with a family for a year. I have also worked in two childcare settings, a creche and I have regular babysitting jobs for different families. The variation in job roles has allowed me to work with children from birth up to twelve years old.
In my previous setting I was given the role of room leader for the under two's room. Within this role I carried out risk assessments to ensure children's safety, I tracked each child's development and created an individual action plan for them. This then allowed me to create weekly planning sheets to allow opportunities for children to achieve new things and to progress in different areas. Most importantly, I ensured that the room was a loving, comfortable environment with plenty of opportunities to learn.
