About Me
Hi name is Gillian Lane, I'm married to Ross and have 2 children, Emily and Jessica. I grew up in South Queensferry and currently live in Springfield area.
My Experience
I am a registered childminder with the Care Inspectorate. I grew up around children as my aunt fostered under 5s. I have a general love of children and like creating activities and going outdoor adventures with them.
I have childminded now for over 13 years and have looked after children from under 1 year old who are still under my care and various ages of school children.
My Qualifications
I am registered to have 6 children under 12 years of which only 3 can be under school age and only one of these under 1 year.
My own children are included in these numbers. (My eldest is now over 16 so she isn't included)

I have attended the relevant first aid and child protection courses required to be a childminder and I attend various SCMA courses relevant to child care and development.
I am currently hold an SVQ 3 in Social Services (young people and children). This is a childcare qualification and I'm in partnership with Edinburgh Counccl to deliver 1140h. I'm also currently studying a BA in Early Learning and Childcare.
My Availability
I have various availability. I am available from 8am till 5.30pm and I'm happy to discuss what suits parents best. I am happy to answer any queries or questions regarding my service and can provide references upon request.
