My Experience

I have 26 years childcare experience working as a maternity nurse/nanny 14 years, nanny 7 years and also as a nursery assistant 5 years. I very much enjoy working with young babies to encourage them at each stage of their development.

With childcare qualifications I gained academic knowledge of child development and practical experience of working with children including 16 sets of twins and numerous single babies, age ranging from newborn upwards.

Continues professional development of numerous short training courses have given me up to date in-depth childcare knowledge and skills.

I have enjoyed studying childcare topics.

I have a selection of reference childcare books and online websites which keeps me informed of current childcare matters and trends.

I have developed and learned through my career, building my expertise in the nearly 15 years being a maternity nanny with newborn and older babies.

Babyem - Advanced Postnatal Maternity Nurse Care Skills Level 5 (2022).

St John Ambulance - First Aid within the Early Years (2024).

CACHE - First Aid for Mental Health Adult Level 2 (2022).

OCN - Care of Multiple and Premature Babies Level 3 (2019).

Babyem - Understanding Colic, Reflux and Infant Allergies Level 4 (2019).

MNT - Maternity Practitioner Level 4 (2016). And Level 3 (2010).
