About Me

I’m a loving, caring and homely individual who loves a little chaos and fun in my setting, I love to see my little ones learning by having fun and making friends. My setting is home from home, and I adapt my routines and menus to each individual’s child’s current interests and requirements. I give the children in my care the love and attention I gave my own children when they were little. My care is child lead so I draw on the individual children's interests and plan my day around them. Taking in to account how the children are feeling on that day and adapting my care to adapt to their needs. Also I’m proud of the relationships I have built up with my parents over the years and I’m always happy to help and advice where I can. I never underestimate that you are trusting me with the most precious little person in your life and I never take that responsibility lightly.

My Experience

I’m a mum of 2 who are both now at secondary school. So I’ve been in your shoes of not wanting to leave your child but still having to work and wanting to have your child in a happy and safe setting where they will be happy and settled. I’ve been childminding for 9 years now and I’ve learn’t a lot over that time and I’m still learning today. Every child is an individual, they all learn at different rates and have their own strengths and weaknesses. The best way for your child to learn is through play and having fun, children thrive on love, attention, routine and one to one time which I can provide.

My Qualifications

Mum to 2 children now at secondary school, so loads pf experience from baby right up to teenage years.

Childminding for 9 years so loads of on the job experience. I take lots of little courses throughout the year to keep up to date with current skills and keep track of new strategies to help the children in my setting.
