After School Nanny Vacancy £18-£26/H
About Me
Professional family based in central Cambridge (5 minute walking distance from the central railway station), seeking an energetic, thoughtful and organised after-school nanny to support our two primary-school-aged children (10 and 7 years of age). This role replaces our current nanny who has been with us for the past 5 years but is transitioning to a different career.
My Requirements
Remuneration:
£18-26/h depending on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
• School collection (approx. 1 mile from our home).
• Transport to after school activities (currently once per week).
• Overseeing homework with structure and encouragement.
• Encouraging independence and good organisational habits.
• Planning simple, creative or active after-school activities.
• Preparing healthy evening meals for the children.
• Light household tasks related to the children (tidying shared areas, ensuring school bags and uniforms are ready for the following day).
We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging children intellectually and practically, helping them build confidence, independence and good routines.
Hours:
Year-round paid position, with potential for longer paid time-off during parts of the school holidays whilst we take family vacations (approx. 4-8 weeks in total per year) and increased hours during the remaining parts of the school holidays.
• Monday: 3:30–7:15pm
• Tuesday: 3:30–7:30pm
• Thursday: 3:30–7:15pm
• Friday: 3:30–6:00pm
We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the afternoon and creating a calm, structured and engaging end to the school day.
