About Me
I am a mother of two grown up children (now 30 and 23) I have over twenty years experience as a nanny/postnatal doula/newborn/baby specialist/sleep trainer/trouble shooter, plus many years experience of babysitting - from newborn. I have experience of helping families with new babies - including six sets of twins. I am confident with young babies - happy to settle a crying baby. I am have up to date First Aid Qualifications, and DBS.I have newborn care/doula and breast-feeding support qualifications as well as the childcare qualification requirement for OFSTED registration.
I can supply outstanding references on request.
My Experience
Over twenty years professional non medical ‘maternity nurse’ and nanny experience, babies, toddlers and children up to 8, including extensive newborn experience, and twins experience (approx 14 months twins experience) - plus have two grown up children of my own - now aged 23 and 30).

Jo Tantum gentle sleep training, Geraldine Miskin, breastfeeding support training (and routines for new babies) Baby Em Sleep training, Current First Aid training, MNT childcare training, MNT newborn care training. First Aid (2023,2020, 2016, 2013, 2010 and 2007), Doula trained, 'Understanding Children' Open University course. Breastfeeding support training . BA (Arts). Enhanced DBS - on the update service.
My Availability
I am available from the end of January 2026 for short or long term ‘maternity nurse’, night-nanny or baby nanny positions ( from newborn to 2 years plus). I can travel for 2, 3 or 4 day live-in positions to anywhere within a 4 hour train journey from Cardiff. Or work as a daily live-out nanny in the Cardiff area.
My Fees
- Maternity Nursing from £15.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
