About Me
I've been in childcare my whole career, and absolutely love everything it entails.
My name is Rhia and I would like to believe I am a fun, enthusiastic, caring person who is great at working with young children.
My first love in life is childcare, and I have always enjoyed looking after/working with children. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I receive great pleasure watching children grow and achieve new goals whilst in my care.
I've been a nanny for a number of years, but since having my own daughter in August of 2024, I'm really excited to now be registering as a childminder.
I’ll be offering a childminding approach that goes beyond the 4 walls. We’ll be going out into the community so the children can experience real life and explore nature. We’ll make trips to parks, farms, the zoo, feeding the ducks, popping to the shops to buy ingredients, make cakes, engage in crafts and meet lots of other children.
I will be open Tuesday - Thursday 8am - 6pm all year round, with the exception of taking up to 4 weeks holiday during the year and closing for 2 weeks over the festive period. Funded places will be available.

My Experience
I have a wealth of experience looking after children, commencing from when I first started babysitting 13 years ago for children up to the age of 11.
Over the years I have undertaken voluntary work experience at various nursery settings, including working at a Montessori nursery looking after children up to the age of 4.
I worked full time at a nursery for 3 years, gaining lots of experience looking after children from 3 months to 9 years.
I’ve worked as a nanny for 9 years, and absolutely love everything it entails!
However, my biggest experience of looking after children has come since becoming a mum. It has given me first hand experience of the real importance of routines, safe attachments and patience. Experiencing early childhood from a parents perspective has helped me appreciate the trust families place in childcare providers.
