About Me
I am an experienced Childminder, living with my husband Carl, my 16 year old daughter and pets in Hag Hill Rise for 16 years. I enjoy reading, walking the dogs and bootcamp - when I find the time!
It is important to me that the children in my care are physically active and immersed in nature. We spend as much time outside in places such as Burnham Beeches, Windsor Great Park and local parks as the children desire and weather permits! I have a wide range of resources and toys for the children and include visits to the library, Odds Farm and parks during our routine, with trips during the school holidays to parks, safari parks and museums.
I live in a quiet cul-de-sac location with ample parking for drop off and collection as well as a good sized garden with lots of outdoor toys, swings, climbing frame, playhouse and activities, such as sand and water play, scooters and bikes.
I update parents daily either in person or via message as to what we have been doing and how their child has been.
We have a very friendly, well trained 13 year old Labrador called Libby, who adores the children and a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel called Tig. We also have two mini lop rabbits - Oscar and Bramble.
My Experience
After caring for friends and families children for many years, when my second child, my daughter came along, I decided to retrain as a childminder. I have been a registered childminder for 16 years and thoroughly enjoy my job. I have experience with adults and children with special needs through voluntary work at Thames Valley Adventure Playground, I have also cared for children with Dyspraxia, Downs Syndrome and Soto's Syndrome.
My Qualifications
I have a first class BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Studies and a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies: Education.
I received an Outstanding grading from OFSTED when inspected in June 2015 and hold a valid First Aid Certificate, food hygiene accreditation and have attended training courses in areas such as safeguarding children, Inclusion, positive behaviour, food hygiene, phonics phase 2, planning and observations and risk asessments.
I have also completed my level 3 Diploma For The Children And Young Peoples' Workforce.
I view training as an ongoing responsibility to the children I care for, and is imperative to their wellbeing that I am as knowledgable and skilled in my profession as possible.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:30.
I collect from Lent Rise Combined School only and St Nicolas Playgroup AM
I offer the 15 and 30 hours funded early years education.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Under 5s: £6.00 per hour, snacks, fruit and water or milk included.
(I ask parents to provide a packed lunch for their child)
Before and after school: £6.00 per hour, breakfast provided and a choice of healthy/balanced snacks provided after school.
Any trips/outings are paid for by the parents, I will notify in advance of any plans for outings.
If term time only is required, I will divide the weekly cost of the 38 weeks over 52 weeks to provide a regular, consistent amount for both parties.

Carina has been child minding my children for nearly 5 years and I am sorry to be taking the children out of her care. The only reason for changing my child care is a change of school for my children.
I cannot speak highly enough of Carina, I have never had any concerns about the well being of my children whilst in her care. I have always felt Carina’s was like a home from home and my children have enjoyed being with Carina’s family. Carina has always kept them entertained with days out or activities at home. My children have made me some lovely birthday and Mothers day presents at Carina’s.
As well as being an excellent carer for my children, Carina has gone above and beyond to accommodate my shift working which is erratic to say the least. She has always been flexible and more than helpful with last minute adjustments.
Carina has become more than an excellent carer for my children, she has become a lifelong friend who I hope we will never lose touch with.
You could not want a better carer for your child, the peace of mind she has given me in the last 5 years has been invaluable. You would be very fortunate to get a place for your child in her setting.
Overall
Carina Nash has looked after my son since 11 months until 4 1/2 years old
and has been a brilliant child minder during that time. I have complete
confidence and trust in her. She is a natural with children, really caring
and loves spending time with them. She has the ultimate patience and
really tries to bring the best out of the children. My child is quite shy
but she has nurtured and developed him so he is more confident. Carina's
discipline matches our methods at home so we have consistency. Carina is
my source for all things child related, so I seek her guidance even outside
of the child care environment but I know she doesn't mind as she wants the
best for all the children. I would love my child to remain with Carina
(until he is 18 probably!), but there are school timing conflicts which
means we unfortunately have to leave her care. I would thoroughly
recommend her to any parents looking for a childminder. I am an over
protective parent so I realise how difficult it is to choose care, but
Carina provides a trustworthy, caring environment for children to develop
into well mannered, confident, independent little people.

Overall
Carina is a superb childminder. My son, who is now three and a half, has been minded by Carina since he was 5 months old. He absolutely adores her and thoroughly enjoys going to her house or on trips to the park with her. She is very friendly and approachable and brilliant with all the children she minds. Occasionally Carina has helped me with my 9year old son if I have been stuck for childcare during school holidays so I would say she is flexible and very understanding. I would highly recommend Carina to anyone who is looking for a decent and honest childminder.
