About Me
Hi, My name is Michelle Shannon and I am a registered Childminder in the Thankerton area x I live on a farm just outside Thankerton with my husband and six of my eight children and our Black Labrador Dora x I have 8 children , Emily (24) Lucy (22), Sophie (21) Daisy (18), Matthew (15), Lily(12), Luke(11) and Noah (9). I also have three gorgeous grandchildren Hugo, Emilia and Matilda. I offer a very homely environment where each and every child in my care feels happy, safe and secure. I will ensure each child is treated as an individual and given a stimulating environment where they can play, learn and develop and reach their fullest potential.
My Experience
Prior to having children I completed my nurse training and qualified as a Registered Nurse for People with Learning Disabilities. I worked in a variety of settings supporting adults and children with learning disabilities to live a fulfilling and inclusive life within their local communities. Once we had our 8 children, I became a full time stay at home mum until my youngest who is now 8 attended Primary School. I have worked in Primary Schools as a Classroom Assistant supporting both the teacher and the children within a classroom environment. I can drop off and pick up from St Mary’s Nursery and Robert Owen Primary, Lanark
