About Me
I am a 52 year old mother of two daughters who have grown up and flown the nest. Jessica is 30 and Emily is 27 and they both live in Barcelona.
I also have three step daughters 18,15 and 12 who live with their mum and regularly stay in our happy home.
I am also a proud grandma to twin baby boys and having experienced the joy that newbies bring would love the opportunity to work with an expectant family, helping the parents with the day to day tasks and childcare when they welcome their new baby into the world.
I love spending time with young people and am very responsible whilst being fun, attentive, creative, silly, thoughtful, very loving and kind.
I am looking for a happy, respectful family who need a beloved and cherished long term helper who in time becomes part of their family.
I am the sort of person who will just pitch in and help with whatever is needed, happy to help round the house, run errands, take pets to the vets, get the shopping, buy flowers, book tables and flights, arrange birthday parties, pick up poop, tend to dying houseplants and forgotten furry fruit.
I am not a bad cook and enjoy making wholesome family meals.
I also enjoy being a companion and love to chat with any older relatives who may form part of the household.
I am in a loving happy relationship with my South African partner. My parents are in their early 80s and live locally as does my sister. If you need a "right hand woman" to join your family on a long term basis please get in touch.
My Experience
I have raised my own daughters and they have turned out pretty good so I don't think I did a bad job. I love spending time with my step daughters as they work their way through their teens and the eldest is now in university. I previously spent looked after children for American Air Force families as I was living near Lakenheath Air Force base. I am used to looking after all ages from newborns to older children.
I lived in Spain for a long time and did a lot of childcare out there and also taught English as a foreign language to young students at Summer camp.
I speak fluent Spanish sone French and Catalan
I am very organised and efficient, enjoy housework, sorting and tidying.
I absolutely love dogs and cats and am happy to help care for the pets in the family (not too keen on snakes)
I have no criminal record (that I am aware of) my own car and a clean driving licence.
I have lived a very interesting and varied life and it would probably be useful to meet and discuss your requirements and what I can bring to your family and your home.
