I am 44 years old and originate from the Philippines. I am a full time nanny with 16 years of childcare experience and have been living and working in the UK for the last 10 years. I currently live with my partner in Roehampton, SW London in the house that we have refurbished
I really enjoy my job working with children helping them to grow and develop, and ensuring that they reach all the important milestones in their lives. I take great pride in my work and am proud of the help I have given and the impact I have had on the lives of the children i have cared for. As part of this I also enjoy studying and researching the many activities and information relating to children, diet, growth,development, fun and so on. I feel it helps to have an interest in child psychology as well as many crafts and an interest in having fun with the child.
Play groups, classes, trips to the library and the park are all part of a good well rounded routine, and i try to aim for at least 2/3 week up to one everyday. I only serve nutritious meals as a rule, a balanced diet is best but also follow the parents requests and food routines. I enjoy cooking, always trying to introduce new foods to the childs diet and particularly enjoy baking cakes and decorating them.
I feel that good manners and a strong set of morals are a large part of a good approach to help the child grow confidently and capable of interacting with other children and adults alike
I have clean driving licence. I am a non smoker
My Experience
I have worked for 5 families in my time in the UK, looking after between 1 and 3 children, ranging from a new born up until 15 years old. I am currently looking after a single 2 year old and have been since she was 6 months old.
Prior to this I worked in Hong Kong for 9 years for 2 different families. I gained a lot of experience in these roles which has stood me in good stead for my employment in the UK.
