About Me
Hello, my name is Lucy and I am 24 years of age. I graduated university in July 2019 after three years of studying with a degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. Since then I have been working full time in a nursery in Aigburth which I absolutely love. I am typically based with the 1 & 2 year old children, however I do cover in other rooms including the 0-1 and 3+ age groups too. I work with a range of children of all different needs, including those with severe allergies and children on the ASD spectrum. I have a clean drivers licence and my own car, an enhanced DBS check and a qualification in first aid after completing a two day course in November 2019.
I work in the nursery 5 days a week Monday-Friday, usually 9 hour days. I finish work no later than 6pm as this is when the nursery closes. I would be available to work on weekday evenings providing it was 6pm onwards. I am completely free on the weekend Saturday and Sunday so I am very flexible on these days.
My Experience
I completed 2 weeks work experience in a local school in 2015 as I knew this was the career route I wanted to go down. As part of my degree I have completed 3 placements based in 3 different primary schools, working in year 2 and year 3. During my placements I had to plan and teach lessons and resources for children of different abilities, working up to being responsible for 80% of their overall timetable. Each placement ranged from 7 weeks to 10 weeks. I have also been working in a nursery since September 2019 full time.
My Qualifications
I hold 10 GCSE's, including maths and science at grade C and English at grade B, 3 A-Levels in Sociology, English and General Studies, an AS-Level in business studies and a BTEC Qualification in Health and Social care. I also hold a degree in BA (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status after studying at University for 3 years.
My Availability
Monday-Friday 6pm onwards.
Flexible availability on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
