About Me

I am a childminder and have been graded outstanding, I have been childminding for 41 years and absolutely love my job. Next year 2027 my granddaughter will be working alongside me at my setting as a fully qualified childminder, she has had 3years experience working in a nursery but her ambition has always been to become a childminder, she has also achieved her NVQ level 3 in childcare and education and we are both looking forward to offering the best care possible for our future little ones. I have a large extension to the side of my house which was built for the children and has been carefully fitted to accommodate all their needs. The children have a huge variety of outdoor and indoor experiences whilst they are in my care. I work 3 days a week Tues, Wed and Thursday, (My granddaughter is planning on working 4 days Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday) The children learn through play, they enjoy a vast amount of experiences both at the setting and on outings.
Carefully planned daily outings take place where the children can enjoy their freedom with their friends whilst learning important skills, every child is respected for their individuality and planned experiences are put in place to suit their individual needs.

My Experience

As mentioned above I have 41 years experience in childminding and have supported children with a variety of needs, I have been graded outstanding on every inspection my aim is to support children to reach their full potential in the best way I can, I am proud to say all children who have moved on to school have left my setting with confidence. I have also cared for children from children I have cared for which makes my job so special. I have wonderful memories of all children cared for in the past and I am enjoying every minute of making future memories.
I like to keep up with training on a regular basis ensuring I am always up to date with the changes that take place.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education, first aid, Safeguarding, food hygiene

I work Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday I start at 7.30am and finish at 5.30pm
