Tiny Exp
Childminder in Warsash
My Summary
Tiny Explorers 🌈 Twice Ofsted Outstanding | Bespoke Child Development & Adventures
About Me
Welcome to Tiny Explorers ? a warm, nurturing and twice Ofsted Outstanding childminding setting in Warsash, where every child is supported to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence. I provide bespoke childcare tailored to each child’s development, combining a home-from-home environment with adventure, exploration and meaningful learning experiences.
My setting has been rated Ofsted Outstanding twice, and I pride myself on offering a high-quality childcare experience where every child is valued and supported as an individual. I take the time to understand each child’s personality, interests and stage of development so I can tailor experiences that nurture their confidence, curiosity and independence.
Children’s emotional wellbeing, mental health and emotional regulation are at the heart of my approach. I am passionate about helping children develop resilience, confidence and a positive mindset that will support them throughout their lives.
I am committed to continually refreshing my knowledge through ongoing professional training and reinvesting into my setting to provide the very best environment for children. As part of this commitment, I extended the rear of my home to create a purpose-built playroom with its own entrance designed specifically to support children’s learning and development. I also have a dedicated sensory space within the home, and the outdoor environment has been carefully designed to support outdoor and all-weather learning experiences.
At Tiny Explorers, we believe childhood should be full of adventure, exploration and discovery. Alongside creative play and activities at home, we regularly head out on adventures such as woodland walks, visits to the beach, local parks and museums. We also enjoy occasional trips further afield, such as exploring castles and visiting the New Forest. During these outings, children’s daily developmental goals continue to be supported through the natural environment around us or through resources and activities that I bring along, using a child-led approach to turn each experience into a meaningful opportunity for learning and growth.
I provide a warm, nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued and part of the Tiny Explorers family. Children quickly become part of the Tiny Explorers family, building friendships, confidence and happy memories through shared adventures, play and discovery.
As well as childcare for children under five years old, I also offer before and after school care as well as holiday care for school-aged children. This provides opportunities for friendship, adventure and relaxation after a busy school day, and children staying later also enjoy snacks and home-cooked meals together.
I understand how important reliable, consistent childcare is for working families and aim to provide a supportive environment that helps both children and parents feel confident and settled.
Places are limited to ensure each child receives the individual attention and care that Tiny Explorers is known for. If you are looking for high-quality, reliable childcare where your child will feel happy, supported and inspired to explore the world around them, I would love to hear from you to discuss availability.
My Experience
have over 27 years’ experience working with children, including 9 years as a registered childminder. Supporting children’s development has always been a passion that has shaped my career in childcare.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Childhood Studies, which includes specialist study in child development, child psychology and child health. I also hold qualifications in emotional regulation and child development, which strongly influence my approach to supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence and emotional resilience.
Earlier in my career I taught Level 2 and Level 3 Childcare and Health and Social Care at college level, supporting students who were training to work within the childcare and health sectors.
I also worked for Southampton City Council as a Regulation and Development Advisor. In this role I regularly delivered Early Years Foundation Stage training as well as statutory and quality improvement training to early years providers across the city. I supported childcare settings in developing new provision, improving the quality of their practice and ensuring high standards of care and learning, as well as regularly visiting settings to review practice and provide professional guidance.
Throughout my career I have worked with children with a wide range of needs and abilities, including experience supporting children with additional needs. I have also worked as a respite carer and organised play schemes for children with additional needs earlier in my career.
This experience has given me a deep understanding of child development, high-quality early years practice and what is required to create an outstanding environment where children can thrive.

As a busy mum of 4 children I have used a few childcare providers, I have to say Kendall is amazing. My youngest two love her. Warm, friendly, kind and gentle. The adventures and day trips are so so good. She is consistently working along side with the pre school and I working towards development goals. Counting, colours, potty training and so much more. My son loves going to Kendall and she has become a big part of his life. She is so close to the school for my daughter and the trips to the park after school are always enjoyed. She feeds them well and is always encouraging them with rewards like stickers. They really enjoy their time with Kendall. It’s so reassuring to know your children want to go to their childcare. The school holidays are easy to book and she is always doing so much with them on days out.

Kendal is professional and highly organised. She's warm, approachable and lots of fun. My daughter has settled quickly and really loves her time with Kendal and the other children she looks after.
