About Me
Welcome to Jen’s Happy Hive Childminding. Hello, I’m Jen an Ofsted registered childminder based in Eccles. I live with my twin daughters who are almost 16, and our very friendly cat Coco.
I am a home from home setting where I offer a happy, clean and safe environment where I encourage children to learn, grow and thrive.
I follow the EYFS to ensure children get the best out of my setting.
We enjoy going out and about to playgroups, little groover sessions, the library, parks, farms and lots of other exciting days out. We are very lucky to have the canal opposite so we often go to feed the ducks and see the local wildlife. I have a lovely playroom, and a large garden with a shelter.
I registered with Ofsted myself in January 2020, whereas, before that I worked as a childminders assistant for 5 years so have gained a lot of experience. We live on a lovely little drive in Eccles, that runs along the side of the Manchester ship canal, and are very lucky to have nature on our doorstep.

Jen is such an amazing childminder. I have never felt so at ease with someone looking after my son, she truly goes above and beyond. My son runs to Jen every morning and doesn't want to leave in the evenings which speaks a thousand worlds. Jen does different actives every day taking my son to different play groups and trips out all the time. Her house is so lovely and very clean my son loves playing in the playroom and loves making himself at home there. Jen has been a star with my son and accommodating him with his allergies. Jen is so interactive and hands on, and always having lots of fun, he has come on in leaps and bounds with his numbers and colours, and knows every word to every nursery rhyme. My son was in a nursery and I wish I had found Jen sooner she is honestly amazing, I feel so relaxed when my son is with her and I love my daily pictures and messages off Jen. My next baby will definitely be going to Jens Happy Hive I couldn't recommend her more.

Jen has been a fantastic childminder to our little boy for the past year. She is caring, flexible and understanding. Our son looks forward to his time with her and the girls at home but also on trips out. He has enjoyed walks out an about, local toddler classes and trips to soft play/farm. We would definitely recommend Jen!
