About Me

I am a warm, caring and experienced childcare professional with over 8 years of experience working with children across early years and residential childcare settings. I hold a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and an MSc in Criminal Psychology, alongside a range of childcare, safeguarding, first aid and behavioural support qualifications. I currently work within residential children’s services, supporting young people with a variety of individual needs and life experiences, and have previously worked as a Level 6 Nursery Practitioner and Safeguarding Lead.
I genuinely love working with children and take great pride in creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment where they can feel confident, supported and able to develop. I enjoy getting to know each child as an individual, understanding their personality, interests and needs, and adapting my approach to help them thrive. I am patient, reliable, responsible and calm, and I understand the importance of building trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries and safeguarding standards.
I enjoy planning fun and engaging activities, encouraging children's independence and supporting their learning and development through everyday experiences. I am also comfortable supporting children with SEND, additional needs and different communication styles. Outside of work, I enjoy long-distance running, weightlifting, travelling and exploring different cultures. I would describe myself as approachable, hardworking and compassionate, and I would love the opportunity to become a trusted and supportive part of a family's life
