My Experience

I have been working as a Nanny since 1997, straight from college. My oldest roles have been omitted – more information is available on request. All ages quoted are ages at start of role. Roles have included tailoring care for children with asthma, diabetes (with diet considerations), dyspraxia, eczema, and differing learning styles.

Oct 2023-present
I am currently the Chair for a local Stay and Play charity-run toddler group, this includes:
? Organizing fellow volunteers, leading committee meetings for running the group
? Developing a programme of enrichment activities for the children
? Managing any areas of concern, including safeguarding

Oct 2022-present- Nanny (sole charge) Brockworth, Gloucester
? 3 children- girl 3 years, twin girls 11 months
? Duties include general nursery duties, preparing meals and snacks, arranging age appropriate activities,
taking to toddler groups and nursery/ pre school drop off and pick up, socializing the children and helping them settle and make friendships after moving to the area.
? This role is 3 days a week

August 2021- Present- Nanny (sole charge) Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
? 2 children - boy 2 years old, boys 11 months
? Duties include general nursery duties, preparing lunch and snacks plus arranging age appropriate activities and play dates, taking to toddler groups and making sure there are plenty of outdoor activities.
? This role is 2 days a week.

June 2020 - Sept 2022- Nanny (sole charge) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
? 3 children - boy 5 years, twin girls 10 months
? Duties include general nursery duties (clearing and tidying after children, children’s washing etc), preparing meals for the children and arranging age appropriate activities, school pick ups, helping with homework.
?This role is 2 days a week.

Jan 2018 - present - Nanny (sole charge) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
? Two children - Boy 6 months, girl 7 years.
? duties include general nursery duties, sterilising bottles, help with weaning,cooking family meal, arranging age appropriate activities, school pick ups and helping with homework.
? This role is 2 and a half days a week.

Nov 2009 – May 2020 - Nanny (sole charge) -- Leckhampton, Gloucestershire
? Four children - Boy 2 months, Girl 18 months, Boy 4 years, and Girl 6 years.
? Duties include school / nursery pick-ups, general nursery duties, arranging play dates, cooking (including teaching the children), and other activities suitable for the age range of the children. I also helped with homework.
? I helped Mum with weaning the youngest child.
? I’ve been an active parent-helper in school and pre-school.
? This role is two days per week.

Sept 2005 – 2017-- Nanny (sole charge) -- Leckhampton, Gloucestershire
? Three children - twin Girls 2 years and Girl 1 year.
? Duties include school / nursery pick-ups, general nursery duties, arranging play dates, cooking (including teaching the children), and organising gym / dance classes, swimming lessons and other outdoor activities. I also helped with homework.
? I’ve been an active parent-helper in school and pre-school.
? Originally full time, this role changed to part time (two days) in 2009.

Sept 2004 – Sept 2005 -- Nanny (sole charge) -- Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
? Three children - Boy 3 years, Girl 4 years, and Girl 11 years.
? Duties included school / nursery pick-ups, general nursery duties, arranging play dates, attending toddler groups, cooking, organising swimming lessons and other social activities.
? This role ended because the youngest started school.

Apr 2003 – Sept 2004 -- Nanny (sole charge) -- Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
? Two children - Boy 3 years, and Boy 6 years.
? Duties included school / nursery pick-ups, general nursery duties, cooking (including teaching), and arranging social activities such as Tumble Tots, toddler groups, music classes. I also supported the oldest child with his homework.
? This role ended because the youngest started school, but I continued to cover school holiday periods for another year.

Aug 2002 – Mar 2003 -- Nanny (sole charge) -- Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire
? Three children - Boy 2 years, Boy 8 years, and Girl 9 years.
? Duties included school / nursery pick-ups, general nursery duties, cooking, and arranging social activities for the toddler. The older children were supported with homework.
? This role ended due to my being made redundant due to a change of circumstances in the family – I was replaced by a live-in Nanny.

Sept 2001 – Aug 2002 -- Nanny (sole charge) -- Churcham, Gloucestershire.
? Three children - Girl 21 months, Boy 4 years, and Boy 7 years.
? Duties included school / nursery pick-ups, basic nursery duties and cooking for the children.

My Qualifications

BTEC National Diploma Nursery Nursing,
Diploma in Child Development & Psychology.
Diploma in human nutrition.

Also, certificates in:

Promoting positive behaviour
Improving children's learning through play
Preventing bullying

My Fees

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

£14-15 per hour gross, dependent on role.

The vast majority of Nannies, including myself, are not self employed due to HMRC rules. Additional Employers national insurance, Employer pension contributions, and payroll management costs typically apply.
