My Requirements

We are a professional family seeking a highly experienced, independent, capable and proactive nanny housekeeper who can also be a real partner and mentor for our two children. We have two children, 9 and 7, turning 10 and 8 by the end of the year and live in a Victorian terraced house in Wimbledon Park. We have had a live-in nanny for the last 5 years which has worked well for us and the children, providing the consistency and care we're looking for. The accommodation comprises a double room in the loft with a bathroom. Parent and children rooms are on the 1st floor.

It is really important for us to find someone for whom this is a long term opportunity, favouring consistency, building trusted relationships and looking after them as more than just childcare, but as mentors, friends and teachers. 

I would like to add that this is a school-age role, requiring experience with this age group, strong independent leadership, confidence with warm boundaries, helping with emotional regulation, and increasing independence, alongside structured support for learning and daily routines. We are looking for someone who understands how to flex between calm connection and physical activity depending on what the children need and direct their energy in the right way.

You will be expected to independently organise their social activities, play dates etc and prepare for term breaks planning day trips, museum excursions, picnics etc. You will also be responsible for the daily preparation of snacks and school backpacks etc. As well as oversee their academic homework, school projects etc.

Housekeeping duties are predominantly focused on cooking for the family, ensuring the kitchen is clean, general tidiness throughout the house, laundry for the family and general lower maintenance tasks like dropping off dry cleaning, doing the grocery shopping, maintaining the fridge and or picking up items. We have a professional cleaner coming once a week for a deep clean.

We do have a young puppy where your help will be appreciated particularly while she is young though this will not be a primary focus.
