About Me
I am mum to 2 lovely daughters aged 13 and 17 years. My girls, their Dad and I live in Tongwynlais with our very much loved cat. I help at my local toddler group and as a volunteer for Safe Families. I also run The Wooden Toy Company. I am a non smoker and car owner. Now that my girls are older, I am looking for part time nanny work and/ or night nanny position. Also available for ad hock babysitting
My Experience
I have experience of new born babies and older children too. I have worked as a nanny since the age of 18 until I had my own family. I worked for families here in Cardiff, London and Brussels. I also worked for 4 years as a Nursery Nurse and Deputy Manager for a local Daycare provider.
I have Emergency Pediatric First Aid training including up to date knowledge of Epipen procedures and first hand experience of children with allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma and eczema.
I have CRB checks for organisations that I volunteer for.
My Qualifications
My relevant Qualifications are:
GCSE Childcare
NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board)
ADCE (Advanced Diploma in Child care and Education)
A Level psychology
Working with Families
Introduction to Mathematical Development in the Foundation Phase
First Aid
Food Hygiene Certificate
My Availability
I am looking for part time Nanny work. 1, 2 or 3 days a week.
I can also offer ad hock child care to cover for you should your own Nanny call in sick, or to cover your Nanny's Annual Leave or maternity leave.
I can also offer one-off days for babysitting if you have an appointment or event to go to or ad hoc weekend proxy parenting if you have work commitments or indeed, planning a little time away.
Feel free to keep my name and number on your fridge for those tricky times! I can be a sort of extension to your family support network!!

Sian was nanny to our two children, a boy and a girl, aged 3.5 and 1.5 for just over six months. And I don’t think it’s possible to explain the true impact sian had on our lives. She’s more than a nanny. She’s a friend, a guide, play expert and child chef all rolled in to one.
Both children have such a strong bond with sian and look forward to their days with her. Nothing was ever too much trouble for sian and it was such a relief and comfort knowing my children were content and safe in her care. Sian’s personal experiences with allergies was also a huge advantage and I felt very safe trusting that sian knew and understood my son’s dietary requirements.
Both children are now in nursery as it worked out best from a logistical point of view but my son still regularly talks about his days with sian and asks when he’s going to see her. Sian is one of a kind and I would have her back in a heartbeat.

Sian has been a nanny for my little boy since he was 6 months old. I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful she is. Sian is wise, knowledgable and so caring and my little boy adores her. I keep saying that she is the best gift I have ever given him. Any family would be lucky to work with Sian, she has been an amazing influence on my little boy’s early years.

Helped me out when I needed care for my 2 v small ones whilst on a fortnightly course.
Both boys seemed v happy with her, and the toddler was stimulated by her imaginative activities.
I felt they were v safe and well occupied in her care, plus she did lunch for them.

Sian was amazing with our under 2 year old little man. She managed to conjure lots of ideas to keep him entertained and stimulated through the day and even made dinner too!
A lovely, warm, caring and reliable childminder. We would highly recommend!!
