About Me

My name is Marlena and I run Blooming Blossom Childcare - a home based childcare setting that is Ofsted registered and works closely with Brent Council's Early Years Team.

I possess full and recognised L3 qualifications in Childcare, Paediatric First Aid, hold a relevant DBS and continuously work on my development by undertaking courses and training offered for Childcare providers from Brent Council. I have over 23 years of experience in caring for babies and young children and have great joy and passion in doing so.

My setting provides a loving home environment that boasts of two large indoor rooms that are separated for babies and toddlers, along with a large outdoor private balcony fully equipped with resources to support children’s learning and physical development in a enriched and happy environment.

I provide a loving service that infants and children can have secure relationships with caring and responsive adults, where they feel free and safe to explore and learn. This is a benefit of using a childminder over nursery settings - the care is more personal and there is not a new face due to changes of bank staff every few days. We take every opportunity to know the children and tailor a service that will cater to the child and family needs.

Offering tremendous flexibility, providing earlier drop off and later collections. My Ofsted registration extends to overnight and Weekend care which is also offered.


We accept 15/30 government funded hours for 2,3 and 4 year olds, accept tax free childcare (TFC) and childcare vouchers.

All activities at our setting is age appropriate and in accordance with the 7 learning areas of development set by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We use an online platform ‘Tapestry’ which allows us to give digital communication to parents of their child’s daily feedback, observations and progress, meals eaten and their personal care such as nap times. You will receive a notification at the end of each day in your inbox of the daily feedback.

Blooming Blossom Childcare is a 5 minute walk from Harlesden train station (zone 3 Bakerloo line and overground network rail). The area is served by numerous bus routes; 187,224,226,228,206 and 224. There is ample free parking available for parents driving, right outside our setting.
