About Me
Hello, my name is Marlena, and I am a fully Ofsted-registered childminder based in the London Borough of Brent (NW10). I live with my husband and our 17-year-old daughter in a warm, welcoming family home.
I bring over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages—from babies and toddlers to young children and teens. My background includes working in nurseries, as a nanny, and in a children’s centre. I first became a registered childminder over 11 years ago, and in 2021, I briefly paused childminding to return to working in a children’s centre. I’ve since resumed childminding, bringing even more insight and experience to my practice.
I have extensive experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and am committed to providing inclusive, patient, and personalised care that nurtures each child’s development and well-being.
I use Tapestry, a secure online learning journal, to track your child’s daily routine, progress, and milestones. Parents receive regular updates, photos, and observations, so you always feel connected to your child’s journey.
Children in my care enjoy a variety of fun, educational activities, including trips to parks, playgroups, libraries, farms, and even the zoo—promoting learning, social skills, and curiosity.
For busy families, I offer a convenient pick-up and drop-off service, and also provide overnight care—ideal for parents working shifts, travelling, or needing extra flexibility.
Whether you need full-time, part-time, or flexible childcare, I provide a loving, home-from-home setting where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
Blooming Blossom Childcare is a 5 minute walk from Harlesden train station (zone 3 Bakerloo line and overground network rail). The area is served by numerous bus routes; 187,224,226,228,206 and 224. There is ample free parking available for parents driving, right outside our setting.

My normal hours are 7am - 6pm however I am flexible and offer earlier/later extended times,weekend and overnight care.

Marlena and her setting, Blooming Blossom, has had such a positive impact on my son’s experience with childcare. From the start, I felt comfortable leaving him there each day, knowing he was in a safe and caring environment. Over his time there, I have noticed his independence growing and I could see how much he enjoyed spending time with Marlena and her family.
I also really appreciated the clear communication and the thoughtful balance of learning, play, and creativity. It gave me peace of mind to know he was not only well cared for, but also engaged and happy. Marlena took the time to always share pictures and videos of my son and all the activities and trips they did, which I greatly appreciated.
I’m very thankful for the experience and would for sure recommend Marlena to other parents looking for a supportive and reliable childcare provider. ❤️
