About Me
I Live in Mapperely with my lovely Husband and our 2 daughters aged 16 and 14. I have always loved working in early years and so took up childminding in 2009. I am a loving, caring, fun, energetic and passionate person who delivers high quality early years care and education to each unique child in my care. The children and I currently spend our time at local toddler sessions, singing groups, visiting the city farm, local parks and the woods. I am passionate about the outdoors and allowing children to explore their natural environment, so as much time as possible is spent outside! We also enjoy our time with sensory play, art and messy activities, let’s pretend, den making, reading stories, baking, singing time and much more. I pride myself on the development of my wild setting that allows the children to develop in all areas of their development, through, love, play, awe and wonder.

My Experience
I have 24 years experience of working with children, including working in private day nurseries and as a teaching assistant in special needs schools. I have been minding since December 2009 and simply love it.

I can't reccommend Louisa as a childminder highly enough. My son who is now 8 years old and my daughter, now 5 years old, have been minded by Louisa for over 4 years. She has cared for them and enriched their learning and life experiences beyond my expectations. She nurtures creative play and is extremely thoughtful and conscientious. My children have loved their time with Louisa, moving from pre school to post school. From visits to local parks, to nature experiments, art projects, gardening, and culture, Louisa thoughtfully plans her time with children. My children are always happy at the end of the day, enthused about their time, settled in themselves and tired! Routines are used sensibley and play and food is kept healthy- parent communication is wonderful. All round Louisa is an outstanding childminder!
Overall
Where do I start? Simply put, my children love being with Louisa. She is fun, lively, engaging and very child centred. Her home is a real home-from-home for the children and they are very comfortable there. Days are well-planned with lots of exciting outside adventures. Louisa is very approachable and open and the children just love her. I just wish we'd found her earlier!
