Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended nanny

Fearn has been the most amazing nanny to our now 2.5 year old daughter (and more
recently helped us with the transition to two children after the addition of our new
daughter). Fearn quickly became part of our family and we are so sad to be having to say
goodbye to her as we are moving out of London, which has come sooner than we had
anticipated. If not for this, we would have hoped that Fearn would have been with us for
many more years.
Fearn has worked with us since the start of December 2024, and during that time has
helped a huge amount with our daughter’s development, in terms of speech, counting,
manners, learning the alphabet and – the biggest of all – potty training (which I was
dreading but she managed successfully in 3 days with no fuss at all). As first time
parents she has been fantastic at doing as we ask and taking our lead in terms of
approach, but also offered tips and guidance when we have asked, potty training and
preparing our daughter for the arrival of her little sister being great examples of this
where we were very keen to have guidance from someone as experienced as Fearn. She
plans fun, educational and age appropriate activities both in and out of the house,
including things like baking, painting, museum visits, trips to the park and fun outdoor
spaces, soft play, gymnastics and swimming. We feel that she cares for our daughter as
if she was her own family, she is very loving with her and also sets appropriate
boundaries as necessary. She has been great at forming relationships with other
nannies with similar aged children, and often arranges outings and playdates with other
nannies and children who she knows our daughter likes to play with.
Fearn is always punctual, and has never been late. Her communication during the day is
fantastic – we always know what they are doing and how the day is going and she shares lots
of pictures to keep us updated (at our request, we love seeing what they are getting up
to!). She cooks balanced, nutritious meals for our daughter that she loves, ensuring a
good variety of food and lots of fruit and vegetables, and accommodating our
preferences. She ensures we always have a well stocked freezer of home cooked meals
for use when they get home late from an all day outing, or for us to give her at the
weekend, which is really helpful so that we can spend as much quality time with her as
possible when we are not working.
I have been home for the past 2.5 months on maternity leave and it has been a pleasure
having Fearn in the house and helping during that time. She has been very conscious of
the challenges of having a newborn and a toddler and given me space when needed but
also been happy to take care of the baby so that I can spend some time with our toddler,
something that has really helped to ease the transition.
We really cannot recommend Fearn highly enough, we trust her wholeheartedly with our
toddler and she is the only person other than immediate family I am happy to leave our
newborn with. She will be a wonderful addition to your family and I’m only sad that we
can’t take her with us to our new home.

We cannot recommend Fearn highly enough

Fearn has been our nanny since September 2023 and is due to finish with us in December 2024. We can't recommend her enough and she'll be a great addition to your family.

Fearn started working with us when our daughter was 9 months old, and will be with us until she is just over 2 years old. We had originally planned to put our daughter in nursery from 1 year old but had to abruptly change our plans and find a nanny due to my wife's health situation.

Fearn was eager to help us all out, she came across as not just a loving and skilled nanny but also someone that would fit in with our whole family, support us all and knowing how to care for and encourage not just our daughter but the whole family.

As a nanny, Fearn was great in the baby stage having cared for many babies before, helping us as new parents with doubts and questions and making us feel fully reassured that our daughter was always safe with her. She has been proactive in finding play groups, activities and places for them to go to so that our daughter gets plenty of stimulation and a variety of experiences. She's also helped both her physical and mental development, knowing when to encourage her to push through the milestones and recognising when the new parents were getting ahead of themselves. She has been particularly great at communicating with our daughter, talking with her every day and encouraging her speech. She is very communicative now and we recognise many of the words and phrases Fearn teaches her, which is great fun.

As well as seeing them together in our house, many parents and caregivers have proactively told us how happy our daughter seems to be with Fearn when they see them out in play groups - which is great to hear and confirms what we know.

As our daughter has gotten older Fearn has also been good at taking her a little further afield to museums, urban farms and play dates with other kids in the park or their homes.

She's a great cook and has a few dishes that our daughter loves and helped in the weaning stage for her to try some new things. She's always been reliable, easy to communicate with and neat in our home, always leaving things tidier than she found them.

We strongly recommend her as a nanny and hope we will continue to see her for babysitting as our daughter and her have a lovely bond

The best nanny!

We had Fearn as our nanny for our son from when he was 8 months old until he was about 2.5 years old. She was absolutely amazing and a true part of the family during this time; we always felt confident that our son was in the best care when he was with her. The only reason we have stopped working with her is that it was time for our son to move full-time into nursery.

Fearn is a creative and engaging caregiver who kept our son intellectually and physically engaged in activities inside the house (like reading, painting, playing) and outside the house (including play groups, trips to the park, and music classes). She cooked him home-cooked meals, which were nutritious and varied, and was very diligent in making sure he was well-rested and napping appropriately for his age. She also made a huge effort to speak to him all the time, which really helped with his language development. She was very loving, warm, and affectionate with our son and they were really bonded from a very early stage - he still continues to ask about her today and misses her often, which shows how attached he was to her, and he is thrilled every time he gets to see her when she babysits!

Aside from her caregiving, she was also highly flexible, accommodating, super punctual, and was willing to work around our schedule and provide extra cover if we needed. She was never late to work, rarely sick, and we always felt like we could rely on her to help us out when we needed, and she would go above and beyond to make things work when we required extra help.

Finally, we also knew that she was taking the utmost care with him when they were out of the house; she was watching him carefully in any external situations, particularly around other adults, and we knew he was in safe hands when he was with her.

We highly recommend Fearn to any family looking for a nanny. She is a truly exceptional caregiver who will love your child as much as you do.
