About Me
Hi, my name is Lillian Gallagher. I'm a happy, smiley woman of 52, divorced mum of a girl, age 21 and originally from Norway, but have lived in Swindon since 1996.
My interests are sightseeing, reading, arts and crafts, travelling, walking, cinema, theatre and places of interest.
I live in the Town centre of Swindon, Commercial road area.
My Experience
I have worked with children since I left school at 18, in nurseries, preschools and as an au-pair and after I moved to England and had my daughter, I started working as a child minder when she was a year and a half, which has worked out well as a way to work with children which I enjoy very much and at the same time be at home for my daughter.
My Qualifications
I am graded 'Good' by Ofsted on my last inspection which was in December 2019.
I have taken various short courses such as behaviour management, first aid, safeguarding children. My earlier courses, when back in Norway, was on language in young children, play and games for children and I have done a general course for pre-school assistants.
Other than that, the school of life. ;-) Oh, and the introduction to childcare course of course and training in the EYFS.
My Availability
I will have a Monday and Tuesday vacancy from the second week in April 2020.
I don't do school or pre-school drop off or pick ups as I feel this interferes too much in the day for the other children I look after, hence only looking after maximum 3 children on any day.
My opening times are between 08.00 and 17.00, but am open for discussion on working longer hours if needed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I charge £4 per hour which include wetwipes, drinks, and occasional treats when we are out and about.

Lillian has been looking after our daughter since she was six months old, and now she is 25 months old.
We were worried about putting a very young baby in someone else's care, but we were instantly relieved when we met Lillian for the first time. Our daughter has been very well looked after, and she loves going to Lillian's and she usually jumps off the buggy and goes straight into Lillian's house. Lillian frequently sends photos throughout the day, and manages an online platform of diaries and photos for parents to see. She often takes children out to play in various parts of the town, and it is lovely to see all children play nicely together. We wholeheartedly recommend her. Sadly we are leaving Swindon, and we only have a month with Lillian. We will miss her very much. Thank you so much and much love to you Lillian.
