About Me
Hello, my name is Cerys and I am 26 years old.
I am a kind, gentle and patient person with a calm nature, and I genuinely enjoy caring for and interacting with children. I am happy and comfortable supporting all families.
I especially enjoy spending time with babies and toddlers, creating a safe, nurturing and comforting environment where they can feel happy, secure and supported. I enjoy engaging children through play, sensory activities, reading, outdoor time and helping to maintain routines where needed.
I am very family-oriented, love animals, and am comfortable around family pets. While I do not yet have experience with newborns, I am very open to learning and gaining experience as I grow in childcare.
I understand how important trust is when choosing childcare, and I will always do my best to ensure your child feels safe, cared for and happy while in my care.
My Experience
I have experience caring for young children in family and informal settings and enjoy spending time with babies and toddlers. I previously studied childcare in school and am currently looking to build more hands-on experience.
I have helped care for a young child during weekends and overnight stays, supporting day-to-day routines and ensuring they felt safe, happy and cared for. My experience includes supervising children closely, supporting road safety, preparing meals/snacks and encouraging eating and drinking, bedtime settling, supporting hygiene such as handwashing, and helping children feel comfortable and reassured.
I understand that young children can experience big emotions, and I always aim to respond with patience, gentleness and reassurance to help them feel calm, safe and supported. I enjoy engaging children through play, fun activities and creating a caring environment where they feel secure and happy.
My Qualifications
I studied childcare in school and have a general understanding of child development and caring for young children. I am currently looking to build more hands-on experience in childcare and am keen to continue learning.

• Happy to obtain an enhanced DBS check
My Availability
I have flexible availability and am happy to support families during the day, evenings, weekends and for date nights. I am also open to occasional overnight care if needed and will always try my best to be as accommodating as possible.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
My babysitting rate is £11 per hour.
Evenings and weekends are £13 per hour.
Overnight care is £95 per night (depending on hours and requirements), agreed in advance with families.
