About Me
Hello my names Donna, I live in Ashburton. Im happily married with 3 children of my own and have over 20 years of childcare experience, including special needs. I have a BTEC Diploma in Childhood Studies and a level 3 qualification in setting up a home based childcare service. I am first aid trained and hold a current enhanced DBS.
I provide a nurturing safe home environment for children from birth onwards. I believe in a holistic approach to childcare, and my setting aims to create a calm and welcoming place where children feel safe, loved and valued.
During our day we enjoy open ended play where each childs natural curiosity is sparked through natural resources much like the Montessori approach. This allows children to lead their own learning and develop at their own pace. We enjoy lots of arts and crafts, baking, story telling, and singing.
We spend as much time outdoors as possible enjoying the sunshine or splashing in puddles. I have a secure garden which is used all year round. We enjoy walks around our local area, trips to the park and attending baby and toddler groups.

My Experience
I have over 20 years experience of working with children of all ages including twins. I have previously worked in day nurseries, private homes as a nanny, primary schools and as a SEN 1:1. I have experience with Autism, Downs syndrome, hearing and visual impairments and children with anxiety disorders.
