About Me
I'm a Ofsted registered childminder in Aldershot
I live with my husband and am a mother of two.
We have two cats who are very friendly and enjoy the children's company.
I have a playroom for the children to play, learn and develop, with many toys to assist!
I throughly enjoy being around children, watching and helping them grow and develop into the little people they become! I offer them a large variety of activities, for them to explore and achieve new goals, whilst meeting the individual needs of each child. I like to take the children out and about, to groups where they can meet new people and make new friends, we go to baby/toddler groups, parks, national trusts, woods, libraries, soft plays and many more fun and exciting places.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for the past 22 years, the past 10 years I’ve been a childminder. Beforehand I was at a nursery where I started as an assistant carer and worked my way up to become an assistant manager. I was always room based, caring for babies from 3 months to 5 year olds.
I come from a childminding background, my mum has been a childminder since I was 10, and feel this helps me welcome and settle children into my home, where I hope they feel 'at home'.
My mum and I work closely together, and are a support system for when each other are not working, eg holidays or sickness. This also benefits the children having a familiar face.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education.
'Preparing to work in home' childcare NVQ Level 3 certificate.
I also have an NVQ Level 3 in management.
Short courses that I have achieved are:
Paediatric first aid
Safe guarding level 4
Food safety
Prevent certificate
These are always updated and re-taken regularly to keep my knowledge up to date.
I am a member of PACEY, who I also have insurance with.
I have an up-to date DBS.
My Availability
My opening hours are Monday- Thursday 7.30am-5pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge an hourly rate which includes all meals, healthy snacks and activities/outings.
I do accept childcare vouchers.
I accept the funding from 9 months - 4 years

Sam looked after our little girl from 14months - 3yrs old. We instantly knew after meeting Sam that she would be the most caring and fun childminder for her.
Sam would take her out on day trips/ lots of trips to the park. Communication was good, especially during Covid times.
Our 3yr old truly flourished with Sam and we were sad to leave but she was definitely ready for preschool!
Would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough about Sam. She offers a wonderful service with both hot and cold meals through the week and healthy snack. It always surprises me what my kids will eat when I’m not there! She does these lovely crafty bits and is always taking them out to different groups. I’m really sad to have to leave in September due to house move. My kids love her and so do we!

Sam is an outstanding child minder. My daughter is totally in love with her and clearly has a great time every time she visits. Sam is a true professional and is really flexible, making life so easy for me as a working mum. Sam supports my parenting style and follows our routines. She supports my daughter at each learning platform and encourages her every step of the way. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone.

Sam has looked after both my children on a regular basis. She couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful and I always felt assured that my children were in the best possible hands. The playroom is big and very spacious and my children always felt confident and happy when going to her which makes it so much easier to leave them! I would 100% recommend Sam to anyone looking for a dedicated, fun and caring childminder!
