About Me
I have several years of experience working with children in their early years and I have cared for children of various ages throughout my career. I truly enjoy looking after children and find it very exciting to be able to nurture the next generation.
We moved to WGC in 2018 and had our son in the summer of 2020. He is a lovely little chap, always happy and smiling and is so eager to have some playmates. We live in The Commons area and the nature reserve. We have done a lot of improvement to our house keeping children in our mind so I can provide a safe, relaxing and happy place for not only our son but for anyone who wishes to join us for a fun learning journey. We have a separate toyroom that opens up to our very large garden where the possibilites really are endless. They can take part in water play, sand play, ball games, pretend play, gardening just to mention a few things. I also have a range of fun toys, games, a lot of resources for sensory play, arts and craft available and will plan activities to compliment the Early Years Foundation Stage. We often attend playgroups, soft play, Paradise Wildlife Park and organising playdates. I believe that good habits start early in life and I promote self care and encourage children’s independence so they are ready to transition to school when they need to.
I’ve recently received a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating with ‘Outstanding Personal Development’.

My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children in their early years. I worked as an Ofsted registered nanny for families across Hertfordshire for 7 years and it was a dream of mine to become a childminder after having my own child.

Both my children attend Ilona's childminding. My son full days and my daughter wrap around from nursery and holidays. Ilona always plans a variety of activities, both at home and outside - woods, Stanborough, playgroups, trips to paradise to name a few. My children love exploring nature with her and I feel very happy knowing they are safe and thriving in her setting. Her home is well set up and has a great playroom/play space right by the kitchen leading onto the garden with so much to explore. Ilona always keeps us updated with photos and how the day had been. She clearly has a passion for working with children and I would highly recommend Ilona's setting.
