About Me

Hi! I'm Jess, 28, and I live in Cranbrook. I’m currently going through the process to become a childminder and I’m hoping to be open late Spring!

I've always loved looking after children, after growing up with younger siblings and cousins all around me. I started doing babysitting when I was about 14, and realised then that I wanted to pursue a career in childcare.

I’ve been working with children under 5 for the last 10 years and am so excited to open up my own setting.

I am based in Exeter and do not drive, but as long as there is public transport available, then I am able to travel to most places! I am happy to look after children of any age, although I have most experience with children aged 0-4.

My Experience

My official childcare experience is that I have worked in nurseries for 10 years.

I have some experience working with newborns, and a lot of experience of working with toddlers and preschool age children.

My Qualifications

I got my NVQ Level 3 in childcare 8 years ago, and renewed my Pediatric First Aid qualification last summer. I am DBS checked, and have a current food hygiene qualification too
