A blessing

We've only had the best experience when it's come to Maria and Carlos. Our daughter has been with them since she was 9 months old. Maria has provided a loving and nurturing environment and pays special attention to details for each individual child. From eating, standing, walking and now talking our daughter has benefitted immensely from their experience and being surrounded by other children around her age.

Maria has set the bar high for weekends out as her daily activities include the parks, local farms, museums and loads of sensory play. She sends many updates on our little ones day including pictures and videos (we didn't miss her first steps!)

Overall we are extremely happy we found Maria and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a child minder who feels like family!

Highly recommended - exceptional care

Maria looked after our daughter for almost 2.5 years (from 12 months) and it has truly been a home away from home for her. Maria and her sons created such a nurturing and caring environment that our daughter loved going and often did not want to come home! Our daughter thrived in an environment with kids of different ages, learning quickly from the older ones and learning to take care of the younger ones. She formed close relationships with Maria and especially Carlos, and still talks about them fondly.

We loved that Maria takes the children out at least once and often twice a day to local farms, stay and plays, playgrounds, parks and even the Young V&A, ensuring a variety of stimulating learning opportunities as well as fresh air and exercise. I bumped into Maria at stay and plays before my daughter joined and I was impressed that, unlike many other childminders, Maria and her sons were constantly interacting with the kids, encouraging them to try different activities.

Add in home cooked meals, help with developmental milestones (potty training was so much easier when we were able to tag team with Maria), a very reliable babysitter (Maria always gave plenty of notice of holidays etc), great communication with daily photos and updates and a genuine affection for the children, we really could not have asked for more. We genuinely feel very lucky to have found Maria and would not hesitate to recommend her.

Highly recommended

Our youngest son, Charlie, started with Maria and Carlos just before he turned one, and we couldn’t be happier with the care he receives along with the other children. We fully trust them to look after him, knowing he is in a safe, loving, and stimulating environment. It’s become a home away from home.

Maria and Carlos are attentive and always plan enriching activities so they can learn and develop whilst having fun. We particularly like that they go out everyday for a period of time. They visit local parks, stay-and-play sessions, and city farms. This means they get plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and engaging experiences.

We really appreciate the frequent updates throughout the day, including photos and key details about naps and activities, especially when Charlie was learning to sleep in a different environment.

Maria’s place is warm and welcoming, and the other children and parents are friendly and kind too, which speaks to the kind of place it is.

We highly recommend Maria and Carlos.

Wonderful

Maria and her sons have looked after our daughter for 2 years now (from 11months old). Maria has the magic touch and our daughter took to her straight away. She has provided her with the home away from home that we were so desperately looking for when deciding against a nursery. The children are fed home cooked meals and are provided with a loving and stimulating environment, where Maria fosters great relationships amongst the children too. The children have multiple outings a week - parks, farms, museums etc. Maria is mindful of crucial milestones and helps with the development of those, keeping us regularly updated throughout the day. In 2 years Maria has not cancelled a single day for sickness or without plenty of notice (ie for the occasional holiday), and so is very reliable. Our daughter talks about Maria and her sons as if they are family and we are just so grateful to have found her.

Incredible care, lucky to have found her

We have been using Maria as our childminder since April 2021, and we couldn't be more pleased with the care she has provided for our two boys. Our eldest started at 20months old and youngest at 10 months, both up until they were 3 years old. From the very first day, Maria made us feel comfortable and reassured by her warm, professional, and caring approach. She is incredibly reliable, punctual, and truly understands the needs of each child.
Our boys have developed a strong bond with Maria, and it’s clear that she genuinely enjoys spending time with them. She provides a wonderful mix of structured activities, free play and trips out, ensuring they are both entertained and learning at the same time. Her home is always clean, safe, and welcoming, with plenty of toys, books, and outdoor play areas.
Maria keeps us updated regularly with photos, videos, and feedback. It’s clear she goes the extra mile to make sure they feel happy and comfortable in her care, particularly in providing them with vegan food and using resuable cloth nappies at our request.
We have complete peace of mind knowing that our boys have been in such capable and loving hands. We highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dedicated childminder.

Absolutely fantastic

Maria has been our son’s childminder for the last year and is wonderful, so warm and nurturing, I couldn’t recommend her home enough! We’d had H in a nursery around the corner and he’d cried every day for hours, we were finding it so hard to settle him so made the decision to leave the nursery and start with Maria as our childminder, our baby was like a different child.
Maria looked after him and engaged with him so well that he was settled within a couple of days and has been so happy there since. It’s felt like he’s part of a wider family. Thank you

Fabulous, Warm Childminder

Our daughter loved her time with Maria & Co so much. Every morning she was happy to run in and 'see her friends'. Maria, Carlos and Furdosa took exceptional care of her and all the other children in their care, creating a supportive and strong little community. They take the kids out daily on fun excursions, do all sorts of fun sensory activities and make delicious and nutritious meals for the kids. They build string connections with the children and it is clear they understand child development. Maria's house is a happy, warm environment where we saw our daughter flourish-- we truly miss them and recommend Maria's without hesitation!

A fantastic home away from home!

For 2 years Maria provided supportive and loving care for our son. He left for Preschool 6 months ago and still speaks of her and her home very fondly which is why she is still doing some babysitting for us.

Her home is welcoming and full of activities for the children. She also has 2 gardens which are in full use for the kids. However, they go to different parks and farms,if not every day, multiple times a week. So it's a very stimulating and fun environment.

Maria also organises a few events each year which allow the parents to get to know each other better as well, which creates a great sense of community.

All in all its a fantastic home away from home.

Maria: An Exceptional Childminder!

I cannot recommend Maria highly enough! We've been entrusting her with our child's care for over a year now, since she was just 5 months old. Maria has been an absolute godsend. Leaving your baby with someone new can be nerve-wracking, but Maria immediately put us at ease. She's incredibly caring and attentive, creating a safe and loving environment for our child to thrive in. Kids simply gravitate towards Maria! She has a knack for making them feel happy and engaged. Maria also prepares nutritious and delicious meals for the children, and she's fantastic at accommodating any dietary requirements.
Overall, we are beyond grateful for Maria's dedication and warmth. Our child absolutely loves going to her home, and we have complete peace of mind knowing they're in the best possible care.
