My Experience

15 years as a Nanny in UK, Europe and USA.
January 23 - August 25
Employed as a full time sole charge nanny to a 2 year old, welcomed a new sibling in April 2023 so dynamics changed a little whilst Mum was on maternity leave. Shared care of both children assisting Mum with the baby whilst also having sole charge of both children when the mother was busy and then returned to work. The parents were both hands on with the children when they were present, in their absence all needs of the children were met by myself. A varied daily routine was established between myself and the mothers desires for her children. We were out and about every day regardless of the weather, attending age appropriate activities such as toddlers, the library, Bookbug, various museums, Gymboree, swimming lessons and nature walks. When at home there was a lot of reading, creative activities and educational play. Most meals were executed by myself but planned by the mother.
November 22 - January 23
Assisting a single Dad, who had just suffered a massive heart attack, with the running of the house, driving his 4 children (aged 10-16) to and from school, sports events, evening and weekend events. Laundry, shopping, cooking and cleaning, waking and seeing to the needs of the family dog.
November 21- August 22
Originally taken on as a P/T nanny to assist Mum breastfeeding 8 week old twins, then in March 2022 started as a F/T sole charge nanny taking care of all aspects of care appropriate to the age and stage of babies. Attending classes, going on long walks, stimulating play, weaning, tummy time etc related to the care and welfare of the babies well-being. Laundry, housework and shopping related to the babies.
December 21 - March 22
Working with several families on a temporary P/T sole charge nanny.
March 18 - November 21
Employed as a full-time, sole charge nanny/housekeeper. Nanny to three children aged (now) 11-16, all aspects of care including emotional, educational, medical, nutritional and extracurricular activities. All household duties including grocery shopping and cooking.
1982 - 1990
I was a nanny in London, Spain, Massachusetts and California.
1990 - 2018
I have brought up my own six children which include a set of twins.
2005 - 2014
Owned and run a guest house accommodating up to 22 guests, I employed and managed staff during this time.

• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

The rate of pay is negotiable depending on the position and responsibilities.
