About Me
I offer part-time, ad hoc childcare. This includes from a few hours to a regular commitment. I am happy to babysit and sleep over. If I was needed for a few days this would be possible with prior notice.
I'm honest, trustworthy, reliable, have good empathy and patience, caring and a I think a good sense of humour.
I have an Enhanced DBS check and am happy to get a new one if needed.
I like cooking, being outdoors, will have a go at craft work and am more than happy to be with pets, especially dogs and horses but not reptiles please!
Reading with children is important and I'm happy to help early learners.
I was a single, working parent for much of my children's formative years. I appreciate many of the difficulties families can experience when juggling home life and work.
My Experience
My experience with children covers many different settings, including: Nanny/Mothers Help, Nursery, Primary School, Childminder, Reception, Outdoor Learning, Playgroup, Babysitting. At present I look after my grandson one day each week, and have done so from the age of a few weeks. I also look after his older sister on occasions sitting for them both and having days out. I have also worked part-time in a children's home.
My Qualifications
Level 2 Childcare
Certificate in Counselling Skills.
First Aid Training
Level 3 in Residential Childcare
My Availability
Please see below. These times and days are not for full-time work but times I'm prepared to work if available. This could be for a few hours, one - two days on a permanent basis or ad-hoc.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
I would like at least £16.00 per hour during the day, plus £50.00 for an overnight stay. If I was only working for half a day and had some distance to travel I would like £20.00 per hour please.
