About Me

Hello, I’m Rumena – the owner of Little Roo’s Childminding, I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Audenshaw.
I’ve been working as a childminder since 2017 and have four beautiful children of my own.

I now work from a purpose-built setting located in my garden, where I together with my team of 3 amazing assistants work together to create a warm, loving environment that supports learning through play and nurtures each child’s individual needs.

About my setting:
We’re situated on a lovely road in Audenshaw, next to Ryecroft park. In addition to outdoor adventures at the park, we’ve developed a beautiful garden space at the setting - including an enclosed grass area, water play station, and a child-friendly vegetable plot. The children love planting, watering, and tasting the fruits (and veg!) of their labour. With large bi-fold doors, we encourage free-flow play between the indoor and outdoor areas, especially in good weather.

Our dedicated childcare building has been carefully designed with little ones in mind. It includes:

- A spacious playroom perfect for imaginative play, big enough for 12 children.
- A calming sensory room equipped with soft lighting and relaxing music, a large sensory tube, a fibre optic ceiling curtain and much more!
- A well equipped kitchen and child size toilet facilities to encourage independence and confidence.
- Areas for building, arts and crafts, and plenty of open-ended learning opportunities
The children are free to explore and move around the space as the day flows. Every area has been created to stimulate learning, encourage creativity, and support their emotional well-being.

Our ethos:
We believe that children flourish when they feel happy, safe, and valued. Our setting is very much like a home-from-home, and each child is welcomed as part of our extended family. A highlight in our playroom is the “family tree,” where parents are invited to contribute an “All About Me” poster. This helps children feel a sense of belonging and often leads to meaningful conversations during group time.

Availability & Funding:

We offer term-time only care.
I no longer offer before and after school care, as we now focus exclusively on children under 5.
We accept funding for eligible 9-month, 2, 3, and 4-year-olds.
We also support student childcare grants and tax-free childcare.
