About Me

My name is Aimee and I live with my husband and 3 kids and our dog Bella who is a border collie.

Both my son and daughter are at the local school and cannot wait for new friends to join us on our adventures.

I have stayed in Knightswood, Glasgow since 2005. Our street is on a dead-end quiet area surrounded with lots of adventures such as Knightswood park and pond, Knightswood mini park walkway. The fourth and Clyde canal is local with lots of wildlife to see in all weathers as well as other local playparks. My area is very well served with public transport however I also drive which helps us travel out with our area and explore new fun places.

As a busy mother to my kids and not forgetting my fur baby Bella I am aware of the demands and responsibilities involved with caring for children. I have no doubt that the experiences that I have already with bringing up my own children help me in my roll as a childminder. I understand how challenging it can be to care for children with varying needs, Abilities and interests.

As part of my pre-registration training, I successfully completed an induction course in childminding ran by the Scottish Childminding Association and have granted approval by the Care inspector. The course covered a wide range of subjects including child protection, Health and safety, Child development and behaviour management. In the past few months, I have also obtained my child protection training and gained my First Aid certificate for young children. I also make full use of all the on-hand training courses provided by SCMA when they become available. I believe up to date training and courses are of most valuable for myself to provide the best quality childcare
