My Experience

I like to think I’m a happy, positive person with a calm and caring personality. I am, punctual, tidy and organised in my own life and these are qualities i bring to my work.
I have 16 years experience overall in childcare, including Nurseries and schools, nannying and young godchildren.
I began my nannying journey 9 years ago for a family with a one year old boy and a girl starting reception, I am happy to say I have been with them ever since with them now being 10 and 13 and so independent. For a while I have split my week with them and a second family of 4, 9 and 12, I've also known them for a number of years and have watched them grow.
During my time as a nanny my roles have altered slightly because of the age of children, parents working habits and family visiting therefor I am competent working as a sole charge nanny, within the family unit, able and happy to adapt to working alongside parents, who i now know very well.
Part of my duties currently include but are not limited to; collecting children from school and traveling to afterschool activities, preparing healthy snacks and meals with the suggestions and preperation help from the children, allowing choice. I find this encourages variety, and motivation to eat new and healthy things. i also batch cook.
I work alongside children while completing homework or school projects, offering assistance if needed but allowing room for their independence and ability to think for themselves, this also applies to younger children during play, giving support while allowing them to explore freely.
We get out as much as we can, especially during half term and any free time, we visit the local parks and activities frequently but take every opportunity to explore somewhere new further out of the area. We travel using public transport being sure to stay together at all times, safety and awareness outside and in new places is of utmost importance.
Being a naturally tidy person I am happy doing light nanny duties, including keeping play areas and children’s rooms tidy and organised, cleaning up after mealtimes and activites with children being encourages to help out too.

During my spare time I’m a keen hobby photographer and enjoy taking walks to new places, i enjoy socialing with friends finding downtime.

My Qualifications

Diploma in Childcare and Education and 12 years experience, working experience in college and working years.

My Availability

Looking for full days over half or after school, currently looking to fill a Friday or full time if I connect with the right family. Open for discussion.

My Fees

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)

After working solid for 7 years as a nanny, I am now looking for a higher rate, ideally £14net per hour but happy to discuss and agree with hours in consideration.
