About Me
I enjoy swimming, walking, being outdoors, craft activities and socialising with friends. I have always loved working with children of all ages and have worked in childcare various childcare settings since leaving college in 1999.
My Experience
After qualifying 25 years ago I spent over 6 years working in day nurseries as a Nursery Nurse/ Deputy Manager.
I spent 9 years as a sole charge live out nanny to twin boys
(since they were 5 weeks old). I went back to the same family after having my own son, and also worked for another family part time.
I later became an Ofsted registered child minder. I am currently accepting early years funding and tax free childcare. I've been registered as a childminder for approximately 12 years.
I am qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and Education. I am First Aid trained and Ofsted registered. I have completed forest Kindergarten training, the government led EYPDP training and am currently part way through my EYSENDCo training.
I have experience of weaning, potty training, organising activities etc. I enjoy taking children to libraries, groups, the wildlife park, on woodland adventures as well as providing a variety of activities. Our setting is a small, home from home setting, offering flexibility and a wealth of learning opportunities, in a safe and caring environment.
At this time I am not able to offer wrap around care.
I will have availability from September 2026, my opening hours are Monday to Thurs, 8am til 5pm. There may be a little flexibility which can be discussed.
I am currently based on Shilton Park in Carterton.

I have known Jodie for several years now and was lucky enough to be able to employ her as a nanny for my 2 girls. They loved having her looking after them, and love her little boy too. She is very warm and caring by nature, good fun to be with, and all her experience of childcare means she understands children and their needs.
She is very reliable, organised and sensible. She is easy going and very sociable and has a wide network of friends and family locally so she knows the area well and all the best places to take the children, from baby groups to playparks etc.
From a discipline point of view she is really good at being firm but fair, and reasoning with children.
On a personal level, she has been a great friend and support to me as a frequently stressed Mum (!) and I don't know what I would have done without her.
