(All of these documents can be provided). I have my own car which I am happy to use for work purposes if needed. I am also happy to be Ofsted registered if required and I can provide written references from previous Nanny employers on request.
I live in the village of Harrietsham near Maidstone with my husband and 6 year old boy and 11 month old baby girl. I have lived in the Maidstone area for 12 years, however I was born and raised in Tunbridge Wells with my parents and 3 siblings. I attended college in Tonbridge where I acheived my childcare qualification.
My Experience
I have 22 years of valuable childcare experience which I have achieved through working in various Day Nurseries and as a sole charge Nanny. At present I work on Mondays and Tuesdays as a sole charge Nanny/housekeeper caring for a 5 year old boy. I do the school drop off and pick up and carry out house keeping duties during the day such as washing, ironing, tidying and cleaning the playroom, cooking dog walking and running errands. In the school holidays we go on trips to the park, farms, bowling, and soft play etc.
Previous to going on maternity leave last year, I worked with two families caring for two boys aged 4 and 5 and supported both parents with all aspects of their care as well as helping and supporting with other house hold tasks. In addition to this role, I also cared for three children between the ages of 3 and 7, doing school runs and taking them on various days out in the school holidays. Other Nanny roles have included working for three different families caring for two children of 4 and 6 years, two girls of 7 months and 2.5 years and two children of 11 months and 3 years, at commencement of employment. I have also carried out some temporary roles, looking after babies and toddlers and have worked in day nurseries as a Nursery Nurse caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years.
Throughout my childcare career I have acquired a vast amount of experience. This includes working in partnership with parents to deliver the best care for each individual child, baby and toddler experience including feeding, weaning and potty training and caring for premature twin babies. Experience with preschool and school aged children including drop off and pick ups to school/nursery, assisting with homework, communicating effectively with teachers and nursery staff, planning daily activities and outings, preparing and cooking healthy nutritional meals and assisting with bedtime/bath time routine.
My Qualifications
I have an NNEB (Nursery Nursing Examination Board) child care qualification which I completed in June 2000 at West Kent College.
My Availability
I am looking for a position working between 1-3 days a week depending on the total number of hours needed. I am happy to work in and around Maidstone, and other areas too such as Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages.
