About Me

My Home is Ofsted approved, as of April 2023 We received Our Ofsted GOOD Inspections grade and my family has been DBS checked.
I am a registered childcare provider and work with my assistant . We have completed Home based childcare course, as well as completing first aid training , safeguarding training and food hygiene training. I also work within the Early Years Foundation stage framework. I hold a full and clean UK driving license so that I can offer trips and outings to children.
Here at Kids& Shifts we enjoy a wide range of activities, outings, and playgroups. My aim is to offer a loving, nurturing and happy environment for every child with endless opportunity for exploration through a mixture of adult-led and child initiated activity. I hope all children in my care feel they can relax whilst in my company and enjoy the freedom that being a child brings where they are safe from harm.
Being a mother of one little girl means I am more than aware of the challenges that looking after children can bring! As a result of their inquisitive nature my house is fully adapted and safe for their adventures. We have lots of outdoor toys that can be enjoyed in all weathers and have an abundance of toys and activities indoors too! Children do however need their rest and so I always provide each child with rest time/nap time throughout the day and a cuddle is always available!
I am also very keen on healthy eating. Children need good nutrition for effective brain functioning and for healthy growth and so I offer a wide range of home cooked meals and snacks should you require them. I like to involve children in the preparation of their food – they tend to enjoy eating it more! We enjoy making new combinations of foods and have fun learning where our food comes from.
Therefore I offer a unique child-minding service to suit working/studying parents. My service aims to offer home to home type service that can extend your values and incorporate your required needs where possible. This will ensure a safe enjoyable and caring environment for your child to develop learn and communicate to the best of their abilities. Children will also be taught to respect and value other children, adults and the home.
