About Me

I am an Assistant Manager in a private nursery. I began my career in 2007 and hold a level 3 qualification in Childcare. I am the nursery Special Educational Needs Coordinator and lead the childcare and quality as the EYFS representative. I have my own little girl and we love getting out and about and being creative. I am honest, reliable and caring. I strive to provide the best in every aspect of my job and believe that reflection and progression is an important part of my career to consistently provide high quality care. I have a bubbly, confident personality which makes me fun to be around!

My Experience

I have worked in a private nursery for 16 years and have had experience with babies from birth to children aged 5. I recently run an under 2’s unit, up to 20 children per day and manage several staff. I have worked with children with a variety of special educational needs and behavioural difficulties as the nursery SENCO and have a Level 2 certificate in Autism and SEND. I am the person responsible for school liaisons and I am the EYFS planning coordinator too. I support weaning journeys, advocate for safe sleep and can empathise with new parents about all the worries little ones bring. I am confident with NHS guidelines and child development and can share advice professionally to help your child develop. I can support in toilet training and have professional advice regarding English as an Additional language, dummies and more.

My Qualifications

I hold an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and an NVQ Level 3 and 5 in Leadership and Management. I also hold the SEND qualifications detailed above. I have a First Aid at Work and have a pedeatric first aid certificate too. I hold a valid Safe Guarding of Children certificate and I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead at the centre. I have also attended workshops about Working in Partnership with Parents, Outdoor play and Bilingualism. I have had training on separated families and also hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
