My Requirements

We would like someone to become part of the family - But essentially to be a carer for our eldest son Freddie who is 13. Freddie has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is in a wheelchair full time. He has severe muscle weakness and needs help with many things. The main duties of care for Freddie include:
- wheelchair transfers (you must have a strong back and be fit)
- rare moments of toilet care (lifting onto a toilet and helping with trs)
- preparing food/meals
- help with putting shoes/jumpers on

We have been allocated 10 hours of care per week and you will be paid via direct payments/possibility people. Any extra hours worked would be paid by us.

You need to be fun! And you need to have experience of Boys. DBS is also essential please.
We are looking for one mid-week daytime of around 4 hours and one evening on the week end to go out as a couple (5pm ish - 11pm ish).

Our boys are loving and kind but have energy. Investing in games with them or crafts etc will win their hearts.

There is potential for hours to increase over time once you have gained freddies trust and even potential to live-in in the self contained annexe in the future. For us it’s about finding the right person. Freddie enjoys gaming and loves animals. He loves jokes and loves to laugh with people who are fun and spirited. We are a kind and loving family and enjoy life. We are always positive in spite of what life throws at us. Let’s meet for coffee first and see if we all hit it off!
