About Me
My name is Madison (most know me by Madie). I have worked in childcare with young children for almost 8 years. I have mostly worked with young children from 6 weeks up to 5 years in a variety of settings and roles including nannying, babysitting and nursery work.
My Experience
I have had nearly 8 years of professional experience in nurseries, as a nanny and as an adhoc babysitter. I worked as a room leader of the baby and toddler rooms in my previous role and I have nannied for babies and toddlers alike.
I have knowledge of different forms of weaning, early childhood development and activities that will support the development (and that are age appropriate) as well as potty training experience if support is needed in this area.
I adapt well to new situations and I am very good at using my initiative. I am able to quickly form relationships with both children and families and support you as the parents to become comfortable enough to leave your little ones with me!
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator.
I have undergone training in behaviour management, safeguarding, food hygiene, first aid, extensive allergy training and EpiPen.
I have also got a full DBS which is on the update service.
I have an automatic driving license and with a fully insured car that I can use for work purposes.
My Availability
Currently offering babysitting over the Christmas period including NYE so please get in touch if you need childcare as I may be able to help!
Hourly rate starts at £12ph but as stated below this may vary slightly depending on the days/hours needed.
My weekday availability is varied so please contact for further information on current availability.
I am usually flexible and open with weekend babysitting and childcare and can offer a variety of services. Again, it is best to directly contact me regarding availability.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
I am able to provide a more accurate estimate of my fees when I know the hours and days required so please get in touch and let me know what you’re looking for if you would like a more accurate quote.
For 24 hour cover I charge £200 per 24 hours and my usual rate for any additional hours.

We were excited to meet Madie after making contact on childcare.co.uk. I rearranged a family trip which would have been the first time they were meeting my newborn twins so as to accommodate an interview on the day Madie could do. The morning of the interview Madie text saying she had a headache and would let me know if she could make the next day by the afternoon. Since then I heard nothing from Madie and she did not respond to messages or a phone call. Apart from ruining a family trip she wasted our weekend also. We were concerned for her welfare before figuring out she must have had another offer. This is something she could have said right away. Very disappointing behaviour as being reliable is a key trait for a nanny.

We hired Madie when our son was 10 months old and she was a big help. At the time I was struggling to find someone experienced with babies, so when we found Madie we were really pleased. Madie is reliable and caring and we would recommend her to anyone looking for extra help or babysitting young ones.
