One of my recent referees said about me: "Debra's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and (my children) have great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Debra is a great communicator and encourages good behaviour, kindness and compassion to others. When my children step out of line she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms they understand. Debra also encourages good personal hygiene".
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for nine years and prior to that I worked at Muriel Green Nursery for five years. My experience has been working with both boys and girls aged between one and eleven years old, this is apart from bringing up two sons of my own. At my last Ofsted inspection I was rated 'Good'.

My Availability
I drop off and collect children from Garden Fields JMI school. The children have a variety of choices for breakfast then we walk to school chatting along the way. The journey back from school usually takes longer as the children often collect things on the way back to use in some form of play. The children in my care have built up a good rapport with each other and it makes some of the younger ones feel comfortable knowing some of the older children in the school who often look out for them at playtime. There is usually a choice of two hot meals for tea, as I like to make sure there is something for everyone, plus either yoghurt, jelly or fruit for pudding and of course the birthday tea with cake when it's someone's birthday. The children generally use child-led activities and before I know it there is either a fort or hospital under the dinning table or making potions in the garden and of course colouring and lots of glitter especially coming up to Christmas. The children in my care have lots of fun and its often very hard for their parents to get them to leave, which I take as a big compliment.
