My Summary

My Experience

My career started in a pre-school environment as an apprentice and I quickly found an interest in working with children who required more specialist support, leading to a role within a special educational needs school. Where i supported pre-school through to secondary. Leaning into a support worker role where I had the pleasure of working with children with a range of disabilities, such as PMLD, autism, Attachment disorder, behaviours that challenge, etc. My desire for further experience led me to mainstream settings where I provided support across a number of different schools, utilising my experience with special needs children into mainstream settings with children who had learning difficulties. I then decided to take a step back from the educational settings to build on my one-on-one experience as a nanny/support worker. Supporting a home-educated child with autism who is Non-verbal.
