Hi my name is Caroline, I'm married with 4 grown up children and 3 grandchildren. I also have a lovely golden retriever who I enjoy walking. I am caring, patient and very reliable. I find it easy to bond with children and have a fantastic relationship with the children I have worked with. If I could go back and do it all again with my children I would but as that's not possible the next best thing is to look after other peoples children and watch them grown and flourish. I hold a full clean uk driving licence and my car is insured to cover nannying. I hold a DBS which is registered with the update service. I have a paediatric first aid certificate. I have nanny insurance. I also have excellent references.
My Experience
From 2008 worked in a nursery for 6 years. Started as lunch cover and then full time. At one point I was responsible for 10 Key children. I was approached by a family while at the nursery and asked if I would be interested in being their nanny. I had been the eldest child's keyworker and they were taking her out to go to a preschool. I excepted and had sole charge of both girls 4 days a week. One age 3 and the other 11months at the time of starting. I was with this family for 3 1/2 years until the youngest started full time school.
I then had sole charge of 2 boys age 2 and 4 at start of employment. I was working 3 1/2 days a week with this family for a year but the family circumstances changed and could no longer offer me the hours. I did a few temp jobs with the longest lasting 6 months looking after a 2 year old boy and 6 year old girl 4 days a week. I am currently working for a family with sole charge of a 2 year old boy and 5 year old girl. I have been with this family for 1 1/2 years and recently had my hours reduced due to a change in the families circumstances.
Along with this experience comes looking after my own 4 children which included twins. One twin had special needs so have some experience in that area.
