About Me
Hello, my name is Shanon. I am an experienced mum to two daughters aged 16 and 12, and we also have a friendly, well-behaved cockapoo called Bella, born in September 2022.
I live in a three-bedroom terraced home in the Symonds Green area of Stevenage. Our home offers a welcoming, family atmosphere with a good-sized garden featuring artificial grass and plenty of outdoor toys and resources. I have also converted my garage into a dedicated learn-and-play room, creating a calm, carefully prepared space designed especially for early years development.
? Montessori-Inspired Term-Time Childminding ?
I provide a nurturing, Montessori-inspired, term-time-only setting for children aged 9 months to 3 years. My environment is thoughtfully organised to encourage independence, confidence and curiosity from the very beginning.
Children are supported to explore at their own pace through hands-on learning, sensory play, practical life activities, creative arts and crafts, and daily outdoor experiences. I focus on building strong foundations in early development while creating a calm, home-from-home atmosphere where little ones feel safe, valued and excited to learn.

I am Ofsted registered graded GOOD in all areas. Inspection: May 2025

My son has been going to Shanon's for nearly 2 years now, (since he was 1) and he absolutely loves it. So much so that he usually shuts the door on me as soon as he gets there as he's so keen to get in! Shanon provides a safe "home from home" for the children and my son has learnt so much from being there with the other children. Shanon has also been great when I've needed advice, as a first time mum.
I would definitely recommend Shanon to anyone looking for a reliable and reputable childminder.

I can't emphasise how much of a great fit Shanon is for our little girl. From the initial we had a good feeling and that rings true still today towards the end of the first year. We get regular photos and development updates and our little girl is always happy when she arrives and is often sad to leave! Shanon and her helpers have just been fantastic from day 1, catering to our needs, adapting to our girls dietary changes and offering very helpful, much appreciated advice when we most definitely needed it! I cannot recommend her enough to any parent in the area that needs a great place for their little ones to learn, develop and flourish in a safe environment.
