About Me
Hello! I’m a qualified primary school teacher based in East Grinstead with experience teaching Reception and Year 1. I’m passionate about helping children develop confidence, enjoy learning, and reach their full potential through fun, engaging, and supportive sessions tailored to their individual needs.
From September, I’ll be on maternity leave from my teaching role, which means I’ll have availability to offer tutoring during the week. While my specialist experience is in the Early Years and Key Stage 1, including phonics, early reading, writing, maths, and school readiness, I’m happy to tutor children of any primary school age and tailor sessions to suit their individual needs and learning goals.
As a current classroom teacher, I have up-to-date knowledge of the primary curriculum and understand how to adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and abilities. My aim is to create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence, and enjoy making progress.
Alongside tutoring, I’d also be happy to offer childcare during my maternity leave. My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for 6 years, with experience teaching both Reception and Year 1. I am currently the EYFS Lead at my school and also lead phonics and reading, giving me a strong understanding of early reading development and how to support children in building confidence with literacy.
Alongside my specialist experience in the Early Years and Key Stage 1, I have a good understanding of the wider primary curriculum up to Year 6 and can support children across a range of ages and abilities.
I am DBS checked and hold paediatric first aid training, ensuring I can provide a safe, caring and supportive environment for all children.
My Qualifications
• Qualified primary school teacher with 6 years’ teaching experience
• Current EYFS Lead in a primary school setting
• Phonics and Reading Lead, with specialist knowledge of early literacy development
• Experience teaching Reception and Year 1
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum from Early Years through to Year 6
• DBS checked
• Paediatric First Aid trained
My Availability

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
