Although our paths have taken us in different directions, I will always be grateful to you for so many things. From the very beginning, you encouraged our son to enjoy reading books together, and you played such an important part in his speech development, learning to count, recognising colours, and learning how to play and interact as part of a group. He met his very first friends while he was with you.
Even potty training of our son - that’s one of your achievements too.
We will never forget how much you have done for us and for him and how much you have contributed to his early years. You have been there for so many of his little milestones, and those are things we will always remember.
You will always have a special place in his photo album, but I hope that one day, when he is older and looks back at the photos and memories from his childhood, he will know who you were and how much you cared for him.
You are, and always will be, an important part of his story. You helped shape some of his very first years, and no matter where life takes us, that can never be taken away.
