Mahima
Maternity Nurse in Chalk Farm
My Summary
About Me
Hello Parents!
My name is Mahima, a warm, calm and dedicated Junior Maternity Nurse with over 9 years of childcare experience supporting children and families in a variety of settings.
I am currently expanding my work into maternity nursing and am looking to support families from August/September onwards, particularly first-time parents who may be looking for gentle guidance, reassurance and extra hands during the newborn stage. As a night maternity nurse.
I am happy to assist with newborn care, feeding support, settling routines, overnight care and emotional support for mothers during the postpartum period. I am available for night nanny roles, helping families get the rest and recovery they need whilst ensuring baby is cared for safely and lovingly throughout the night.
Families often describe me as calm, trustworthy, organised and caring. I am passionate about creating a peaceful environment where parents feel supported and confident as they adjust to life with their new baby.
Please feel free to get in touch , I would love to support your family during this special time.
My Experience
I have over 9 years of childcare experience, starting my journey in 2016 as a Nursery Assistant before moving into nannying and newborn care. Over the years, I have supported multiple families with babies from birth onwards, helping with feeding, winding, nappy changes, bathing, sleep routines, developmental play and creating calm, supportive environments for both baby and parents.
Alongside nannying, I worked as a Maternity Support Worker at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital within the private maternity unit, where I gained hands-on experience supporting mothers and newborn babies during the postnatal period. This role strengthened both my newborn knowledge and my passion for supporting families during the early stages of parenthood.
Through my experience caring for newborns across different families, I realised how much I enjoy the newborn stage and supporting first-time mothers, which has naturally led me into pursuing maternity nursing. I am now working as a Junior Maternity Nurse and am available for both daytime and night nanny support from August/September onwards.

Mahima has been looking after our now 24 month old girl for the past 10 months (full time), whilst also helping out with our newborn. In that time, Mahima and our daughter have developed a really special bond. Mahima is energetic, enthusiastic and very attentive, and would practically always be available to help out, even if outside of her scheduled hours, which is a great help as having two under 2 years old means day-to-day life is generally unpredictable.
As our 2 year old is starting nursery full-time now, we no longer need a nanny, but would highly recommend Mahima, and would happily give a reference should anyone require.

Mahima has babysitting my 2yo boy since months. She is great with him, knows how to get him distracted and avoid sad faces, what he likes and what he needs. She respects instructions and timing.
She's responsible and a trustful person. With a nice and warm smile. Call her and have a lovely, day, evening... She'll handle perfectly.
