About Me

Hi I remarried in 2023 and am now Fiona Duncan Matheson. I have been an OFSTED registered child minder since March 2010 and really enjoy my job! I live with my 21 year old son, my husband and we have a small, friendly, family dog called Stanley. I currently have vacancies starting from Spring term on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. I provide a fun, loving and safe environment and carry out lots of activities both inside and outside my home, including trips to local playgroups, parks, museums etc. I take pride in offering the kind of care which I would have expected for my own son and would look after any child in my care as if they were my own.

My Experience

My experience was mainly as a mum but now it is having done this job for so long and I totally understand how difficult it is to leave your child in another persons care, hence I chose this career path!!

My Qualifications

Fully trained Ofsted registered with paediatric first aid and all safeguarding included .

My Availability

I currently work from 8.00am to 4.30 Monday to Thursday. I only offer a minimum of two days a week contracts. I currently have a space Monday , Tuesday and Thursday

A recent inspection report highlights the strengths and areas for improvement of a local childcare provider. Children benefit from a welcoming environment, strong bonds with their caregiver, and emphasis on physical skill development and good behavior. Communication skills are generally well-supported, though there is room for improvement in introducing new vocabulary during play. The caregiver creates a safe, secure atmosphere and is described as passionate and dedicated.
